平たい顔族によるルネサンスとバロック （高橋絵里） ― 2014/06/19 09:40
こんにちは。再びソプラノの高橋絵里です。
突然ですが、先月「テルマエ・ロマエ２」を観に行ってきました。
公衆浴場を設計している古代ローマ人（阿部寛）が現代の日本にタイムスリップするお話です。
顔の濃ゆ～いローマ人（でも、阿部寛）が「平たい顔族」（日本人）に出会い、ジャグジーや泡風呂、温泉、果てはトイレにいたるまで、その技術の高さ（進歩？）にそれはもう驚いて、古代ローマに戻った時にそれを奇抜なアイディアで再現するわけです。
今回私たちは「イギリスとフランスの古い歌」というタイトルでコンサートしますが、「古い」というのは音楽用語でルネサンス時代、バロック時代の頃を差しています。
約１５世紀頃から１８世紀くらいまでのこの時代、各ヨーロッパの国々で芸術の文化が花開いていました。
その当時の人々が、もし私たちのコンサートにタイムスリップしてきちゃったら、さぞビックリするでしょうね！
「♪テレビもねェ、ラジオもねェ、車も”ぜんぜん”走ってねェ…」の時代の人たちが目にするのは、地下を走る乗り物の駅前に建つ大きなコンサートホール、しかも地下の会場で歌っている「平たい顔族！」
その当時の人々がどんなふうに過ごしていたのか、知る手段は限られています。
私たちがタイムスリップして覗きに行きたいくらいです。
でも本から、あるいは絵画から、そして歌の歌詞から、人々が今の私たちとなんら変わりなく、嘆き、悲しみ、祈り、喜び、笑い、泣き、飲んで食べて生活を謳歌していたことがわかります。
人を愛する自分が好き、傷ついてもなお、嘆き悲しむ自分が好き！感情は神様からいただいた宝物、感情をフル活用しようじゃないか！という思いに満ちた、生きた音楽がその時代にはそこかしこにありました。
そんな人々の息づかいを演奏でお伝えできればいいなーって思っています。
「恐るべし平たい顔族！」と言われるように！
ちなみに「古い音楽」って、こんな感じの楽譜を使っています。歌詞は古語なので慣れるまでは大変です。
