私たちの夢であった、ロンドンのアビィロードスタジオでのレコーディング！
実はもう一つの夢も叶えに行ったのでありました。
リヴァプールにあるキャヴァーン・クラブで演奏させていただいたのです！！
ビートルズがかつてライブ演奏をしていたというキャヴァーン・クラブ、現在ではコピーバンドなどがライブをしているそうなのですが、日本人女性インストゥルメンタルユニットが演奏するのは、私たち1966カルテットが初めてということで、気を引き締めて挑みました。
地下にあり、天井も低く薄暗いライブ会場ではあるのですが、本当にたくさんの地元の方が集まっている場所で、私たちがステージに上がり演奏を始めると、熱心に耳を傾けてくれ、そのうち大合唱となり、演奏が終わるたびに大きな拍手や口笛が飛んできて盛り上がる一方、私たちも初めての感覚に興奮したライブとなりました！
そしてビートルズが、今もイギリスの人々の心に強く生き続けているのだと体感した時間でした。

終演後、リヴァプールの街を巡り、ビートルズの4人がそれぞれ住んでいた家や、曲にゆかりのある場所を訪ねました。
これまでは、写真で見たり想像しかできなかった場所を五感で感じられたことは、私たちにとって大きな収穫となり、ビートルズの音楽の捉え方も良い意味で変わってきた気がしています。
現地に行って成長した1966カルテットを、皆様に是非聴いて頂きたいです！
